    He's not wrong. I've always had difficulty reconciling my far left politics with still having the Bat as my favorite superhero character.

        Superheroes that use cutting edge tech have to be able to afford it. It's an essential component of the character, otherwise the story has no integrity. Spiderman isn't rich, because he could acquire his power as a student. Dr. Banner isn't rich, because he could acquire his power as a scientist. Captain America isn't rich, because he could acquire his power as a soldier. Superman isn't rich, because he could be adopted by any family.
        Why are lefties always so bitter about other people's success?

          There isn't anything political about Batman. He fights crime where it is, at the street level and he also fights powerful people as well.

            How a hero behaves and how the author intends us to view that behavior is very political because it embodies political and social values, even if not intended by the artist involved.
