My 18 year old nephew is going to move in with me in January. He got in a fist fight with his dad and I told him he could stay with me.

The reason he got into a fistfight with his dad has less to do with him having a tendency toward violent behavior and more to do with the fact that his dad treats him like ****. His dad tells him he can't wait for him to move out and that he will fail despite the fact that he is getting all A's in school and works a part time job.
He just needs a stable environment and people to encourage him and let him know they believe in him. I have no Doubt it Will be difficult but he is family and I've taken care of him since he was a baby.

Wow, I'm sorry to hear that your nephew is having difficulties with is dad, but I'm glad that he has you in his corner.
