I like everything Julie Brown does, even
    Plump Fiction
. I just wish I could find a cheap copy of
    Attack of the 5'2" Women
Woman is the Earth and Man is the Sky.

Oh. I liked it before I even saw it - I'd been bowled over by Julien Temple's "Absolute Beginners", I liked Jeff Goldblum, I'd just begun a major crush on Geena Davis, and totally loved that wild-eyed little hot pepper Julie Brown's deranged-val music (and I love how Geena towers over Julie!). Having B-52s songs in the soundtrack was a real plus, and those 'Nutty Professor' refs put it over the top ('You. Go rest your thumbs, I'll drive.')
The movie also introduced me to Jim Carrey and Damon Wayans, who went on to be the highlights of 'In Living Color' for me. All in all, a great way to see out the '80s.

It would have been fun if Geena Davis and Julie Brown had done more movies together. They made a great comedy team in this movie. I absolutely love this movie, it always cheers me up when I'm down. Wish we could go back to the 80s!

            EGAE
is such a clever, fun, happy comedy. All those bright day-glo colors and the catchy, funny songsa wonderful mood-lifter if you're down in the dumps. It always makes me nostalgic for the 80's (like when Valerie mentions MTV's "Weekend with the Band"
). One of my favorites from the late 80's, along with
            Raising Arizona
            ,
            Akira
            ,
            Miracle Mile
            , and
            Heathers
            .

                      Agreed!
'Cause we all end up in a tiny pine box, A mighty small drop in a mighty dark plot.
