I love this movie but I have always felt bad for him. Ariel talks about wanting to go become a human and leave him behind. I wonder how that makes him feel. I always feel sad when he waves good bye to her at the end. He loses his best friend. I mean they can obviously see each other he can come visit her but it's not the same. What is he gonna do without her to go exploring?
Probably putting to much thought into it haha. But I have always felt bad for the poor little guy.

In all fairness, even the sequel at least had a pretty good reason why she didn't stay in touch with Flounder (Ariel and Eric were forced to seal themselves from the sea after Morgana nearly murdered their daughter at her presentation).

Flounder and Zazu both at times seemed like TLK and TLM’s (respectively) answer to Meg on Family Guy Or Klaus on American Dad. Although I hate to veer off topic the Smith Family on American Dad aren’t anywhere as insane or demented as the Griffin Family And Klaus has gotten back at the Smiths and is more sinister and scheming than Meg. Guess Hayley could be AD’s answer to Meg on FG for obvious reasons plus Zazu and Flounder.
