Why do so many guys get turned on by Ariel?

From what I understand, mermaids in general are considered very exotic, which is why many guys are turned on by them. Ariel being the most famous mermaid ever, and the prettiest of all of Disney princesses (that's not just my personal opinion), just draws attention to her even more.

There have been numerous polls done by many groups, including Disney, and Ariel has been voted the #1 Disney princess almost all the time.
Also, mermen are considered a major turn on to many women, so it's not just guys. -
