Archived from the IMDb Discussion Forums — Look Who's Talking

    timothy_fairchild — 15 years ago(September 21, 2010 06:08 PM)

Mollie slept with a married guy and got pregnant. Then when she gives the dad visitation, he is polite and says he'll do anything to help her support the kid. So what does she do? Throws a fit about how the kid needs a full-time dad instead. Then that was her fault for getting knocked up by a married guy in the first place and not having sex with single guys. Why blame him afterwards? He was not a deadbeat but offered unlimited support. Then Mollie ruins his antique desk with a diaper and starts breaking his antiques. That is vicious criminal conduct. But it is portrayed as acceptable female behavior. Why? Then she tells Mikey he'll never see his dad again, like that's a good thing and vilifies him.
Too many women pout like spoiled brats when they can't get everything from the guy and then deny the guy access to his own child. This sort of thing is a reason why birth rates for whites are down. Who would want to impregnate an evil witch like that? One who can get her evil way in the courts too. The culture and system are unfair to men. Mollie should have been arrested for destruction of property. This movie was morally evil and dangerous for portraying her criminal conduct as acceptable.

Haha you're right and lets not forget the fact she was trying to get him to leave his wife, what a home wrecker! I mean being selfish enough to want to put 2 young kids through a divorce so you get your way? What a *****!

            Timothy,
            You are retarded.
            Thanks,

              Leibs16,
Right on. Anyone who watches this film and has the slightest sympathy for George Segal's character is desperately lacking in many of the important human qualities like intelligence, empathy, understanding, and any moral base to stand on.
Men like Timothy, who offer opinions of women that exhibit nothing but insults and disdain, are the reason that many women have such a low opinion of the male gender as a whole.
What a sorry example of a human being.
As for the movie? Fun, easy to watch, and an enjoyable -if forgettable- experience. Sure it isn't "great" filmmaking, but so few movies are. I'll take 'Look Who's Talking' over any of the piss-poor 3D films currently in theaters any time.

Why shouldn't she be mad? First he finally leaves his life and then goes with ANOTHER woman and Molly only finds out when she catches them making out in a dressing room at a clothing store!
Then he won't be in the kids life but is going to give her money? WOW what a gentleman, she doesn't need his money, she can take care of herself obviously she was a career woman.

What exactly should she have expected, considering he was cheating on his WIFE with her?

OP Timothy, you are absolutely right! Witness several real-life cases. The first happened to people I have only met, those in the second I know well.
This particular guy has three children, at least two out of wedlock. The mothers of the older two were agreeable, and let him see the kids whenever he wanted. The mother of the third, to whom he seems to have been never legally married, was fine until he decided to marry. Then she turned shrew and took off. He didn't see the child again until well into its adulthood.
The second guy had a child out of wedlock for whom he provided everythingsupport, schooling, companionship, family visitseverything short of marrying the mother who only got pregnant to try to trap him. When he decided to get married, this child's mother filed a paternity suitTEN YEARS late, when he was
                    already
                    supporting the child which bore
                    his
                    last name
                    not
the mother's! Then she also denied him access to the child for about three years.
If you want to talk idiot lawsuits, IDIOT lawsuits, how about that slut who sued William Shatner for not keeping promises such as taking her to see Koko the gorilla? Like he was gonna keep his promises to her when he was cheating on his wife? HelllllooOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!
Regarding the property damage, you are correct, it was criminal and way out of line, yet it, unlike other things, is at least guaranteed to be taken seriously. Witness the case of Lori Drew, who has certainly won gold medals in the evil bitch category and ought to be awarded a lifetime achievement award for driving her neighbors' daughter to suicide.
                    http://www.people.com/people/archive/article/0,,20170804,00.html
                    Before she GOT THEIR DAUGHTER
                    KILLED
, this piece of work asked the Meiers to store a foosball table for her kids till Christmas. Let's just say it did not arrive in undamaged condition, and this poisonous piece of slime had the gall to file a criminal complaint against the Meiers for damaging this table after GETTING THEIR DAUGHTER
                    KILLED
. Lori Drew then started a blog titled "Megan Had It Coming," explaining that she filed the complaint in fear for her safety in case the Meiers were unbalanced and tried something worse. I can't seem to find any articles on how the case was settled but IIRC, the Meiers did have to pay damages regarding this table when they received NOT ONE DIME TO COVER FUNERAL EXPENSES FOR THEIR BELOVED CHILD WHOM THIS EVIL BITCH CAUSED TO BE
                    KILLED
                    !
Just a few social notes on how things work in America!

That's why the birthrates for whites are down? LMAO! Who cares! And, my friend, it takes two to tango. He was equally at fault for knocking her up, but you conveniently sidestep that issue.
BTW, it's a comedy, buzzkill. Try lightening up. The birthrates of whites are down. LMMFAO!!!! What a riot!

Did you even watch this movie?
Okay let's suspend reality and imagine this was real for a moment.
They BOTH had an affair. He repeatedly talks about how his wife is a nutto and insults her. She may have had an affair with a married man but he cheated on his wife too.
He uses the excuse that his wife is bulimic to not leave her and says he cares about his wife but then when Mollie is several months pregnant she finds him in a dressing room, not with his bulimic wife but with another woman! He didn't stay with his wife he left to shack up with another chick even though his wife was raising two of his kids and Mollie was pregnant with his son.
Then he shows up out of the blue MONTHS later demanding to see Mikey, when Mikey has never seen him before and doesn't know him. When he finally decides he wants to be part of his son's life Mollie is nice enough to give him a chance to get to know Mikey and he acts like a jerk again by saying he "already raised his kids" Raised them? They weren't even in high school yet. He just didn't want to be a parent to any of them
Unlimited support? He ran away when she got pregnant. He didn't show up when he was born. He never bought a diaper, a toy, a crib, nothing. He never even took the time to meet his kid until he was several months old. Does that sound like unlimited support to you?
And furthermore if he wanted "access to his child" He would have gone to court to get it, he could afford to. So obviously he didn't want to see him too bad now did he?
If a guy was only going to be around for my kid when he felt like I would make him stay away too it's irresponsible not to mention a huge parenting failure and really hard on the kids to feel like they aren't important enough to matter. When you have kids you don't run out for months then decide you want to see them then disappear again. You stick around, even when it inconveniences you, even when you would rather do something else, because that is your child and the CHILD comes first. Not you or your wife or your "mid-life crises" or your girlfriends or bimbos.
There are women out there who are nasty and only after money but Mollie didn't take anything from him. So how can you call her a spoiled brat. He had money, he had a great job and a great reputation he could have probably gotten custody of the kid if he wanted. He's the reason he didn't see Mikey. And he probably didn't press charges against Mollie for the destruction because then everyone would find out that was his son and he'd have been forced to pay child support which would have cost him a lot more than what she smashed and would have given his wife a grounds for a lot of alimony from the divorce since he was unfaithful. He was only worried about protecting himself.
I will say that anyone who knowingly starts a relationship with someone who is married is the slime of the earth.
Oh and in the future people should remember this was a movie! A funny movie. I wouldn't have commented at all if I hadn't seen this absolutely ignorant post.
