You're not very sensitive are you? What's she supposed to be like when her husband is cheating on her every chance he gets? Would you be happy if your wife, mother of your children, cheated on you?
She is bitter, she's unhappy, she knows more than well that he is cheating on her and she finally makes the choice to change her life into something worthwhile.
She overdid it, I agree with that. But, 1) This is a movie. 2) Bob was not an angel, no matter what you think.
I wouldn't have taken the time to post if I didn't know how devastating it is when your love cheats on you. Not everyone ends up like Ruth, but the scar on your heart remains forever. -

Personally, after she dumped me there, yes. I get that she was teaching bob and Mary a lesson and blah blah, but that couldn't have made the children feel good, getting dumped in a strange place with two people who pay zero attention to them. Not sure I could've ever forgiven/had a real relationship with my mother again after that.

Sorry, I know this post is really old, I just wanted to point out how you spelled Roseanne. Not trying to be a spell check nazi, but it's funny to me because my sister's name is spelled without the E in the middle, and everyone is always spelling it with the E. So to see someone spell it the more uncommon way when talking about Roseanne Barr kinda made me smile.
