I think I was 18 when Tango and Cash was released. I probably saw it on opening night, as I did with most films then.

Thanks for the kind words. I probably could have gone five or six minutes, but I didn't want to miss any previews.
And just to clarify, I did make her pay her own admission to the theatre, but I sprung for Pizza Hut later. I was much more of a gentleman back then. -

Funny thing is back in 1989, before the movie began there might have been one or two trailers then straight to the film. In 2012, you get about 7,8,9, trailers, then the movie starts, and by that point all you can think about is leaving. I remember back in the 80's they would sometimes have a cartoon and a coming soon trailer and then proceed straight to the feature. Man, things sure have changed and not for the better either.

you forgot to mention that on top of 8-10 trailers for other moviesthere is also 8-10 product commercials before the previews(im talking about after the lights go down, we think its the previews coming, but no a regular lengthened TV commercial)wtf
theres no need to worry about "missing the previews" unless you're at least 30 mins late after the posted showtime -

I was 5 years old when the movie got out, and I must have been 6 or 7 when I first saw it with my dad. Like with so many other macho 80's action movies, I felt privileged to see those more "adult" films with my dad, so I will always have fond memories related to Tango and Cash and it's a movie I almost see again every year. I saw pretty much every movie with Schwarzenneger, Van Damme, Seagal and Stallone during that period and even though they are far from masterpieces, I still enjoy them immensely for what they are. I would even go as far as saying that I mostly prefered american action movies back then. Today, ironically, the best action movies I see are precisely the ones that are almost an homage to 70's and 80's action movies.

I've had some of that exact thing happen except it was 90 & 91, I'm just barely younger then you are. For example took a girl to Total Recall, had sex before and after and the very next day took a different girl and did the same thing before and after and neither one found out about the other. Lol good times, wish I could go back and try even harder for other adventures.
