I've always had a soft spot for this film. It's no masterpiece by any means, but you can't go wrong with it for an entertaining, sometimes silly, fun, action-packed 80's action film. Russell and Stallone actually make a good pair with Stallone giving one of his most easygoing performances. You have to enjoy Brion James as that ponytail villain with his funny cockney accent. Jack Palance is also a fun villain and Teri Hatcher looks hot.

I did a little write up on the film, its history and box office here to celebrate:

The above review is a pretty good write up. It damn near reflects my sentiments on the film.
It is by no means a great film, but it's near the top of my favorite guilty pleasures. It represents the apex of every cheesy buddy cop trope from the 80s, and I love almost every damn minute of it. One might even construe it as a satire of the genre. Especially with that OTT clap at the end after Cash blatantly admits he's going to "bump uglies" with Tango's sister.
