A lot of characters with weird fetishes, yes, but he does not seem to have done anything with full frontal nudity. Let me know if I am incorrect. Just because of my intellectual curiosity, you understand.
I wonder if an actress could become known for sex films without revealing everything (physically). -

Check out the flick where he's a guy who washes up on the beach and this woman takes him captive. I seem to remember there was some nudity in there. He grew up in a very free household in real life and seems to really love women I also noticed the fetish thing is in a lot of his movies as well. It's like a running theme in the parts he takes.
I like him a lot too. It's a shame about his hair, but I still think he's a pretty great actor and a gracious person too. Age, what a concept! -

I'll have to see Crash but add these great Spader movies Less Than Zero, little seen Bad Influence with Rob Lowe, Dream Lover and White Palace both sexy. Also, 2 Days in the Valley has a great cast. Secretary was weird but he was good.

I was drawn to him when I watched the last season of "The Practice." Ever since then, I have seen a BUNCH of his movies. I loved this one so much I bought it. You're right that he has this cuteness about him. This movie rocks!!! I also liked Secretary a lot too. He has the cuteness that evolved differently since "Sex, Lies, and Videotape." I'm so ticked that the rest of the Boston Legal season was taken off until the fall. Grrrrrrrr. I miss my weekly Spader fix. I guess I'll have to make due with his movies.

Sci fi: "Starcrossed", "Stargate", "Supernova", "Alien Hunter" and, fantasy not sci-fi, "Wolf". Two of these involved coloured contact lenses, someone suggested that maybe then is when he found out how much he hates them.
"Starcrossed" was released in the UK on video, e-bay and amazon sometimes have second hand copies. As with most of his best films, there is a strong brunette heroine. -

It's so funny, because my first James Spader encounter was Pretty In Pink, and for YEARS I avoided seeing his films, because he played the character so well, I really thought he was an assI mean, he was so convincing, I just assumed he actually was that way :op But then I was procrastinating a few weeks ago and decided to watch this and was absolutely flooredI think he's my new favorite actor. I had such a crush on him after the first 3 viewings of this, that I decided to re-watch Pretty In Pink, to see if he still repulsed me in that, and, to my surprise, he still didhe's too talented! I just rented Secretary and LOVED it as wellI'm going to have to go on a little James Spader-a-thon nowheheI really like the way he speaks at different levelsso few actors really take advantage of the full range of speaking volumes to convey emotions; most actors just use "normal" speaking voices all the time, despite the fact that in reality, there are constant variances in volumes and inflectionsanywayamazing guy
