I didn't see the point of anything. I figured that if I was going to die a loser I may as well do it on my own terms. At the very least, I had no intentions of filming it.

I'm looking forward to a trip I'll be taking next year, but have essentially decided anything is fair game after that. Don't tell my best friend I said so, of course. She's not fond of that kind of talk.

Though I've never really looked at it from that perspective before, I can understand that notion. Once a person approaches a certain level of pain and anguish, it becomes hard to focus on anything but the self. The idea of our passage out of this world feels so personal. Although I think I understand what you're saying, and I'm probably taking it to a different place.
I always appreciate your thoughts on things like this. And you're never ever going to die a loser because you'll never be one.
