i hope we don't have to wait this long but, maybe a 25th anniversary edition will be released on dvd or blu ray next year. the 25th anniversary of when the first episode aired will be wednesday january 13th, 2016. i figure if it will be released, it will be tuesday the 12th, 2016 since that is the days cd's/dvd's/blu rays are released. it would include bonus material from episodes 1 & 12, correct the day for night scenes, original aspect ratio, dark shadows: resurrected, etc.

I just watched the show on Hulu for the first time since watching when it aired on NBC back in 1991. It had such potential. It could have easily gone on for at least four or five more seasons.
I've also been watching the original and have had trouble getting back into it since watching the 1991 reboot. The fact that Dan Curtis and Sam Hall had a hand in the remake and made it more fresh made all the difference. -

Yes, with interviews from the cast and crew as well. That would be great. I absolutely adore this series. It doesn't have the special place in my heart that the original does of course but it's still the perfect remake to me. Exactly what I want from a "contemporary" Dark Shadows reboot. I don't know if they will release a Blu-Ray version of the series this year or not but they really should. Not only is it the 25th anniversary of the revival series but also the 50th anniversary of the original.
