How do you feel about the non-Culkin sequels?

Haven't seen 4 or 5, but 3 is alright. The traps are creative, but I do get the feeling at that point John Hughes was running out of ideas.

I liked the 4th more when I was younger. It wouldn't have been so bad if they didn't try to shoehorn it as the same family.
I liked the 3rd a lot. It's not as good as the originals but it was pretty good. -

I thought the 3rd one was just okay. Never bothered to see the 4th or 5th. Then again I grew up in the 90s so I of course think the first 2 are always going to be the only really good ones.

The third was okay, the fourth was terrible. The third and fourth movie took the whole Cassandra Truth (adults not believing the kid) thing too far. Even the POLICE in Home Alone 3 didn't believe Alex's claims of the neighboring houses being robbed because the robbers were able to make a quick, clean getaway multiple times.
In Home Alone 4, the housekeeper
(who was in on the whole thing)
, the butler, Kevin's father, and the father's girlfriend didn't believe Kevin's claims of the house being broken into.
Aside from that, in Home Alone 4, they recycled the characters' names from the first two films. At least Home Alone 3 gave the characters different names.

Home Alone 3 was pretty alright imo, still way below the first two, but decent, the problem with Home Alone 3 is they treat it like a sequel when in fact it has nothing to do with the original 2 films, sequels are supposed to follow it's predecessors hence the word "sequel." Still, a fun movie with a great lead, cool bad guys, catchy music, and creative traps. There are not enough words in the English dictionary to describe the horrendous Home Alone 4, filled with neverending plot holes. Home Alone 5, never seen it, don't care to, it looks like there are two kids on that one.
