I guess it might be assumed but was the burglar at the end who Elias Koteas catches the same one that robbed Kirstie Alley's friend's place?

You know I'd never realised that before. I guess they were trying to set up the idea that there is a burglar in the area, yeah. But since it's set in New York aren't there always burglaries going on? If this had been set in the quiet suburbs then I probably would have put 2 and 2 together but with this being New York I didn't think twice about two characters being robbed and think there was a connection.

Either way that burglar was extremely bold. I mean breaking in during dinner time and knowing there's people inside the apartment is bold. Lol
