When I first saw the trailer for this movie, all those years ago. I remember them saying Bruce Willis as Mikey, then a voice over w/Bruce, Roseanne as Julie then a voice over w/Roseanne, but I remember them saying Richard Pryor as the voice of Eddie then a voice over with Richard Pryor.
Now in the movie, Damon Wayons was the voice of Eddie. Does anybody remember the preview with Richard Pryor, and if they do, what happened.
I could be mistaken, but I am sure they orignally had Richard Pryor.

I was just about to post this. You are not alone. I vaguely remember a trailer that stated that the voice of Eddie was going to be provided by Pryor, and I believe he actually had a line in the trailer.
You should submit that to the trivia section.

I remember this too, if memory serves Pryor was extremely ill at the time suffering from MS.
If there is a god, then how come there is a Simon Cowell?

Yeah, originally it was Richard Pryor, I'm not sure why they didn't keep his part in the film or why they replaced him with Damon Wayans, it could've been to his illness.
