Well put, SuperBMI. Plus, don't Navy SEALs want to sort of blend in with the general public as to NOT cause them to stand out as Navy Seals? You should check out my 1989 style glasses..had to wear them as a background actor in both Pentagon scenes. They tried to find a better pair for me on the set before we shot.

You are correct on that because when I went in from 1989 to 1993 your hair as long as it was kept in a certain way you were fine but with SEALS it is totally different because they are to blend in where ever they may go to. They will even fly on a commercial flight to their destination and no one would know about it at all.

I see your point but because they are Seals maybe there are exceptions to the rules. I felt the same way while watching "Coming Home", Bruce Dern's hair is ridiculously long, and in the Army dress uniform looks quite ridiculous.

It's not uncommon for special units to have modified grooming standards in the Army as well. Remember the Special Forces soldiers in Black Hawk Down? They were sporting some shaggy hair and the Rangers were high and tight. It makes sense, like how you can usually spot a cop out of uniformI would think it would be the same with military.

I watched the movie purely for action content, everything else came secondary.
Navy Seals are super bad ass, yes of course the movie has its share of flaws and inaccuracies but if you want a history lesson rent a documentary clown.
