I have to say that their hair was the LAST thing I noticed in this movie.

I see your point but because they are Seals maybe there are exceptions to the rules. I felt the same way while watching "Coming Home", Bruce Dern's hair is ridiculously long, and in the Army dress uniform looks quite ridiculous.

Pretty common for soldiers needing to operate in enemy territory not to look like soldiers, certainly in the British military.
Not much use having soldiers that look like soldiers even in civilian clothes.

It's not uncommon for special units to have modified grooming standards in the Army as well. Remember the Special Forces soldiers in Black Hawk Down? They were sporting some shaggy hair and the Rangers were high and tight. It makes sense, like how you can usually spot a cop out of uniformI would think it would be the same with military.

Interestingly, these days Rangers also do the shaggy hair thing. Look it up.

I watched the movie purely for action content, everything else came secondary.
Navy Seals are super bad ass, yes of course the movie has its share of flaws and inaccuracies but if you want a history lesson rent a documentary clown.

Special Ops have no grooming requirements.

Spec Ops requires you to operate under the radar of the enemy. You are not meant to look like soldiers but more like longshoremen, civvies, UNICEF workers, journalists etc
A good example of this on film is Black Hawk Down. Look at the Rangers with their buzz cuts and the Delta boys with normal civvy cuts.
