Who hates lilly?

That is what Step By Step were trying to do with Lillys character! The way the creators thought about it is that if it worked for Full House then why can it not work for us as well by adding a little girl to the show as a character!
To me it was just fine the way it was you know. I think it would have been better a little boy instead of a little girl for the character.

"It's funny. You could change the name Lilly to Michelle Tanner, and it would be exactly the same. Those two brats were so annoying."
Funny, because they both had episodes where they didn't want to sell the house.

Gah - THANK you! I thought I was the only Full House fan who hated Michelle. I grew up on Full House, and Stephanie was always my favorite, partially because she was closest to my age, but also because she was clever and kind of cheeky. For the first couple of years, Stephanie was the cute one, because Michelle, being a baby, didn't get a lot to do onscreen besides sit there and drool while some frustrated member of the family tried to change her diaper. Once she got to toddler age, though, the show pretty much became all Michelle, all the time. Even the series finale revolved entirely around her. That kind of ticked me off.
From what I remember of the later seasons of Step By Step, the same thing happened with Lily. It happens on a lot of sitcoms when they try to re-up the cuteness factor by adding a baby (again, also happened on Full House with Jesse and Rebecca's twins). In this case, though, the writers were desperate and couldn't wait for Lily to age, so she grew up about 3 or 4 years between seasons. I think this was also about the time that Dana suddenly started looking like a stripper and was inexplicably madly in love with JT's best friend who, for the previous years of the show, she couldn't stand. The whole thing just became one big weird mess. -

lilly imo ruined the show, Cody kept the show alive with his jokes, when he left, JT and Rich were keeping it alive, Jean Luc was trying but failed, lilly was never funny, she killed the show single handedly thanks alot.

Add me to the list. She was very annoying and not very cute. These little kids trying to be bossy adults are annoying. I couldn't stand Michelle Tanner. She was beyond annoying and that " your in big trouble mister" got old. Plus she (they) weren't very cute with the big bags under there eyes.
Every time you turn around, expect to see me, 'cause one time you'll turn around and I'll be there. -

She is not the cutest kid ever on TV, but I do not hate her.
Btw, who remembers an episode where Dana is dating a college professor but finds he is too old for her. He has a young daughter and I am quite sure she is also played by Emily May Young. This episode was before Frank and Carol had Lilly
Isn't that kind of silly?
