I guess they missed some of the eggs or something, or maybe more of the critters came to Earth. Your right though, they didn't really show you anything at the end of Critters 2.

They never do explain it, but the Crites from this movie come from Grover's Bend, so I guess there were some new eggs layed during the 1988 incident, and as we know from Critters 2, the eggs take a few years to hatch.
Doesn't explain how those eggs in the dryer were the last ones in the universe, though. Maybe there was ONE surviving Crite in 1988, it survived and finally layed it's eggs in the truck and came along with them to the city? That would seem to kind of make sense to me

OK. Let's see if I can do this. Probably not.
There must have been either an egg laid during the 1988 incident (which isn't hard to believe with over 100 Krites present), or one Krite wasn't killed and escaped to go on to the third movie. Simple enough.
As for the last eggs in the universe, that's kinda easy. One of the Krites in the apartment building laid the two eggs while it was still down in the basement. From my interpretations it seems to me that the Krite Annie encountered on her way back down to escape was the Krite that laid the egg, hence why it was there (as I don't think the Krites were smart enough to have "guards" near the entrance. If they had guards why didn't those guards just leave the building to spread more chaos?).

I totally agree with what you are saying because I watched the first movie, the second movie, and decided to rent the third one and thought it was ok. It was not the best you know.
Who knows there are so many possibilities on how the krites got to where they live in that apartment building to be honest with you. That is Hollywood for you as well because they can bend and twist things on how they would like to and as long as there are fans or people out there willing to pay to see it then they are making their money then.

Revising what I said earlier, I now believe Scarface (the one Rosalie burned with the bleach) was the one that laid the eggs. It was seen coming out of the laundry machine to attack Rosalie - the same laundry machine that Charlie takes the eggs out of.
