This movie could have been SOOOO much better if…

Yes NBC has gone down hill since 1996 and you are true because things were a lot better before 1993. Gilbert always had one of those voices that were loud you know and could catch your attention if you were flipping through channels you know.
I do not pay attention either to any of those women shows at all. I do not watch it because it is nothing to the original show from the 70's. I hate to say it but I was a fan of the original Bionic Woman and The Six Million Dollar Man when it was on back in the day.
Yes SCI-FI Channel could go with the crappy shows but then also show some classic movies as well. Yes exactly that is what the network has to do is make a compromise because it makes everyone happy about it.
The thing is that Friends and Seinfeld never really appeal to me and I did not find them very interesting at all when they were on. Now that they are in syndication I still do not watch them at all. I cannot stand Everybody Loves Raymond!
I do not know why it stayed on for so long though. That is what I do not get about some people here in the United States! They will pick the most stupid shows that are not good at all and then when there is a excellent show on they do not watch it and have it canceled.
One of those shows is The Pretender. I loved that show and thought it was great to watch. Yes I should have recorded every episode of USA UP ALL NIGHT back when it was on but I did not think about that when it was on you know.
I figured it would be on for a very long time but it did not happen though.

After shows like Cheers and "A Different World was canceled in 1993 the only good show left on NBC to me was "Fresh Prince" and rarely very very rarely "Wings".
I never cared for women superhero shows, I don't have nothing against those older shows I just never cared about it. Today, I think that they need to just stop with these re-makes of older shows period.
I like to give a show a chance but after I gave those shows a chance I was like I'm not watching this no more, I never liked "Everybody Loves Raymond" I don't think Raymond is the least bit funny. Which brings me to the next thing, CBS hasn't had a decent show in many years! YEAH I SAID. I can't remember the last time they had a sitcom that was worth watching.
Another show I really hated "The Drew Carey Show". ABC is another network with terrible variety of shows.
They are trying to distory TV LAND with adding newer shows on from the mid to late 90's.
Pretty soon older people and me, are going to be watching more DVD box sets of shows, because their are a number of people who are tired of these new shows that has no meaning and isn't entertaining. -

I was not a fan of Cheers but I watched A Different World though until it was canceled. I loved watching The Fresh Prince when it was first airing on NBC but since they have saturated every station with the syndication of Fresh Prince, Home Improvement, Full House, and Roseanne I have became sick of those shows!
I was never a Roseanne fan but all of those other shows I watched because I liked them when I was younger. I am now 35 and will be turning 36 in March and found a lot of the classic shows great to watch growing up!
Oh I loved looking at Linda Carter playing Wonder Woman even though when the show was on back in the 70's I was just a kid but now that I am old enough and can appreciate the curves that Ms. Carter had WOW did she look good in that outfit! I would not complain if she wanted to model that for me. If you know what I mean man!
Yeah it has been years since CBS has had a great show to watch to be honest with you because it seems like when ABC and NBC cancel a show guess who picks it up? CBS does because there are a number of shows that I can mention that they have done that to and the shows only lasted another season or two after the retrieved the show.
I did like The Drew Carey Show and found it hilarious though especially when Mimi and Drew would attack each other with insults and practical jokes. They were hilarious. I could not stand Everybody Loves Raymond! I do not see how people loved that show. I mean I always watched something else and that is why I never watched it you know.
Yes TV Land is trying to appeal to the younger part of Generation X to Generation Y I hate to say it man. That is why you are seeing the newer shows going on there.
Someone needs to create a station made for the old classic shows and the newer ones for the younger generation you know. I would go for that even though it might cost a little extra money for the stations. Yeah that is what I have done with some shows that I love is bought the DVD box sets to watch and hold a marathon as well.

"Cheers" at times was a little boring but I think it was a real good show. Even though they show "Fresh Prince a lot I still watch it,I watch that over any show on Nick @ Nite. I do like "George Lopez Show" at times. I'm happy they took "Roseanne" off because I was never too much of a fan of her show, I watched it on a rare, I don't watch "Home Improvement" I used to watch it but they show got boring for me.
A few show I watch in reruns and I don't think I will ever get tired of is "Mama's Family",and "Family Matters",and a few more, but I can't get tired of those shows how many times I seen them.
I don't like anything Drew Carey has done, his show,"Who's Line Is it",now he is the host of TPIR, I used to watch that game show but I got so sick of it, I got tired of that show before Bob Barker left, but now I don't watch it period with him on it.
Everybody Loves Raymond never will care for it.
I'm probably one of the youngest person that watches TV Land, I like classic shows I don't like anything now, Another show I don't like is "American Idol" I don't see why TV makes such a big deal out of it, I admit I watch it only during season 1 and 2, when they was looking for talent ,but once they go to Hollywood, I wouldn't watch after that. Now I don't watch period.
They created TV Land for older shows, I remember when TV Land first started around 1996 I believe and they showed old shows, and that was their main thing, but now they are pushing it, at one time TV Land used to show shows from 1951-1979 time range, later from around 1960-1992 now 1951-present. "Just Shoot Me" and Extreme Makesovers" will never be classic.
I'm going to buy more DVD boxsets, Now they need to just put some more of my favorites on DVD and I will be watching those shows. The hell with these new shows that are crappy, and if they but some better movies on DVD I will get them too!
Oh and "The Wonder Woman" Linda Carter had it going on back then that's the one thing about her, She could whoop my ass a few times and I would lay it on her, you know! -

I know what you mean man. I have some real nimrods that I am surprised that have not came here yet talking about me spamming about USA UP ALL NIGHT. The thing is someone has to let the fans of the show know about the website that I have done you know.
They never liked the show so they want to make it hard for me and make me look like the fool because I am letting people know about it. That is the thing that I do not like about when a station first comes out.
When I first saw AMC 20 years ago they only showed movies from the 30's until the 70's. Then they started to change their programming to show movies from the 80's and now all they show is movies that are current today.
I have had some people tell me that they would rather watch the current movies than the old classics but I grew up during the time when they use to show classic movies and it is hard to find a great movie anymore I hate to say it that I can sit and enjoy unless I want to watch a movie 50 million times repeated you know.

I used to have AMC but last year they took it off my cable, I don't miss it too much, the one thing they did or I don't know if they still do is show horror movies after 12 am on Friday's it used to be good too, butthen they started show the same few horror movies over and over and over again. Yes they mostly did show movies from the 1930 up to the 70's, I remember that, then on Saturday mornings like real early they showed cowboy films which I never really cared for.
TCM is starting to change some, Once before they showed "The Patriot" wich came out in 2000. I was shocked they showed it,but they stayed more so to showing movies from the silent picture time like Charlie Chaplin up into around the early to late 70's,and sometimes early 80's,but that's it. -

Well I am not too happy right now because I posted about the website you know to help get USA UP ALL NIGHT back on again and I had a couple of people claim it is spamming when I am not meaning to spam at all. All I am doing is letting people know that the reason why I am at that board and posting is because that movie use to be on USA UP ALL NIGHT you know.
So I got my post deleted and I went back and reposted it again. Yeah I know what yo mean about AMC changing and all. TCM I hope does not change because I liked how they show classic movies you know. A lot of the generation today does not realize that the start of movies comes from classic movies. It is the building blocks or the foundation that lead to the movies of today.
When my apartment complex had TCM I use to watch it when they had a good movie that I wanted to watch. Since the owners switched cable company and gave us a choice on what we wanted I chose to take Dish Network instead and when I did that I did not select the package with TCM. I would have loved to you know. I like watching a variety of movies do not get me wrong but if I spend my hard earned money to go to the movie theater, rent the movie from the video store, or they repeat the same movie over and over again I become bored of it you know.
I sat here one night when I had the cable a few years ago and they had Charlie Chaplin and I enjoyed watching that silent films you know. It was great! It was unique and different.

So far TCM has not changed.
I wish TBS would really stop showing the same old few movies.
Could Sci-fi have read my e-mail? Today they showed a great Sci-fi/horror movie called "Mosquito" this afternoon, it is one of the cheesiest movies ever, I haven't seen it in a while, but you see that's what I was talking about show some of the older movies not the Sci-fi originals all the time. It seems like every week if I flip pass the channel they are showing a new original movie, and they are show corny.
Question
Why the hell is wrestling on Sci-fi? -
RobBase086-1 — 18 years ago(January 28, 2008 07:46 AM)
No TCM has not changed yet and that is what I love about that channel you know. You should have seen it when I emailed AMC after their response as to why they went with commercials and showing some of the younger movies now. I told them if they wanted to show younger movies of today you know from the early 80's on up to today then they should have made a new network called American Modern Movie Classic instead of altering AMC you know.
I do not think it is right that they have the older movies on late at night or in the mornings you know and all of the rest of the day is all modern movies until later on that night. Yeah your email to SCI-FI Channel must have worked man. That is good to hear.
Like I have mentioned see when USA Network and SCI-FI Channel use to be owned by USA Network and when the USA Network sold both networks to NBC then they own the rights to USA Network and the SCI-FI Channel as well. So USA Network shows Monday Night RAW. They had to figure out where to put ECW at and they selected SCI-FI Channel on Tuesday nights to show it. That is why man.

It's not right that they have older movies on at night, I was just lucky to catch "Critters 3" when it aired on Sci-fi weeks back. I was happy to see "Mosquito" it is a guersome movie but it is a good one,I would like to see more good old movies soon.
I wish that Sci-fi would show horror movies on Friday or Saturday Nights, I doubt Fridays since they have those sci-fi series but at least Saturday, I remember back when USA used to show "Weird Science" which was a very interesting show. I remember when Sci-fi at one time used to have just older sci-fi movies and horror movies, mostly vampire movies, and viking movies.Remember the sci-fi logo was a picture of Saturn at the bottom?
I think it is sad that they have wrestling on a channel which was made for movies dealing with Science fiction, fantasy, and horror.
If I had the money and the power,I wish I could create my own networks and show, older shows on one, movies on the other, however I did recently heard they have a network that doesn't air in every market in the US but they show suspense shows and movies I believe, boy I which I had that channel.
