if there was a diff. director, claws that didnt bend, better critters, scarier plot/story, better story/plot, better acting (though i didn't care about the acting), better everything i guess. ooooh! maybe if they'd have kept it at the wayside where they found charlie and the critters were chasing ALL the people there. but surely someone would have a phone and theyd call the police and thatd be the end of the movie, but w/e. good ideas right?

Could've been better if they kept the film with the more serious tone the first had, and not turn it into some kid friendly film. The second one is to blame for that root, I still think the 2nd is watchable though. The second was even violent. This 3rd one sucks, still consists of cartoon noises, just like the second, very, very tame in the violence department, and they basically turn them into disney characters with their cute little "kitchen raid" scene. Critters 4 has a pretty dark tone to it, more then the 2nd or 3rd ever did, but it's just so damn boring. I could go on about 4, but that would be one long rant, since it's worse then 2 and 3 in my opinion.
See you in the funnies. -

It would have been nice if they would have had the Critters show up to a strip joint and flashed some women topless like they did with the second one. I mean the third one was ok but I did not like it like I did the first two movies of Critters then the fourth one was not really all that good at all.
The third and fourth movie could have been done a lot better I feel. Plus, at the time you had some people who were no names and later became famous and that is why the acting was so poor in the third and last movie.

There could have been some improvements in the last couple of movies that they did for Critters.

Well I don't know about the other "Critters" but I really liked this one,and I was happy that Sci-fi channel showed it not too long ago, they need to show more old horror movies when it used to be scary not these computerized stuff that looks so fake.

I know what you mean and totally agree with you on that! They did show the other night Night Of The Comet which is a great classic B movie that I loved from the 80's.
I have seen the SCI-FI Channel show classic movies every once in a while but not all of the time though.

Yes, they did show "Night of the Comet" ,but here they showed it a bit extremely late at night just like "Critters 3", I just happened to see the first few minutes of it "Night of the Comet".
Sci-fi does show classic movies probably once a month or so. I remember a time when Sci-fi used to show a lot of vampire movies on Saturday afternoons back in the 90's. Actually more so a variety of great old horror movies. -
RobBase086-1 — 18 years ago(January 22, 2008 02:11 AM)
That is the thing that I think SCI-FI Channel changes their style of programming to appeal to everyone you know so that viewers do not see the same movies over and over again I think that is what they do.
Yeah I loved USA UP ALL NIGHT back in the day because they would show a variety of horror movies as well back in the day and now everything is all mainstream now which really sucks!

It seem like now they mostly show just scince fiction movies on Sci-fi channel recent movies, I haven't seen a horror movie on Sci-fi in a long while. The Sci-fi original movies are probably bringing in huge ratings, I just wish they can go back from time to time and show some of the old horror flicks.
TCM shows something called TCM Underground every Friday Night I'm not sure if they stopped, but they would show old and I do mean old cult films some horror some action pack films from the 60's and 70's. It is great to see horror films back when they were scary not like today, where every thing just looks fake. -
RobBase086-1 — 18 years ago(January 23, 2008 03:35 AM)
I know what you mean about SCI-FI should show a variety of movies like some horror movies the past along with some of the science Fiction movies they are showing now.
Yes I remember TCM showing some movies on that program called TCM Underground every Friday nights! I use to have TCM before I got Dish Network and the package I have does not carry TCM.
I am not too happy about that but possibly if I was making more money an hour I would be able to afford it you know.
That is why I loved USA UP ALL NIGHT back in the day on the USA Network and would love to see it come back again on Friday and Saturday nights! That is why I have the website on my signature for people to check out you know and also sign the petition as well.

I really don't watch much Sci-fi channel anymore since I'm not too much of a fan of these new science fiction/dinosaurs/computerized type movies.I don't even remember around Halloween time Sci-fi showing any horror movies. They really are sticking to their name, Sci-fi.I remember years ago, they showed all the Halloween movies. ALL OF THEM!!
TCM Underground showed some horror movies you will never see on regular channels. Those cult films were something else.
This USA UP ALL NIGHT, what year did it end? I think I somewhat remember something of this. Oh and USA network is nothing like what it used to be. -
RobBase086-1 — 18 years ago(January 23, 2008 02:35 PM)
I watch SCI-FI Channel every once in a while but not as much like I use to though. I liked what they use to show about a year to possibly 2 years ago because they showed marathons of shows that I grew up watching as a kid.
Well you have to also remember that when NBC bought USA Network and the SCI-FI Channel they changed the programming of both networks a lot. Yes I remember how at one time SCI-FI Channel would show a lot of horror movies.
I guess they wanted to change things you know. TCM Underground sounds like a great show to watch! Sounds like they are showing things that USA UP ALL NIGHT use to show at one time.
USA UP ALL NIGHT ended back in December of 1998. No USA Network is nothing like it use to be because they started to change the programming to compete with TBS and TNT. They have put more mainstream programming now on there instead of what they use to show.
I could remember back 10 or 15 years ago like you said they use to have weekends of nothing but horror movies on but not now though.

Oh yeah, I remember now what you are talking about with USA UP ALL NIGHT.
TCM Underground shows movies like Spider baby,Night of the Living Dead (1968 version, Body Snatchers 1978 version, The Crazies etc. And gangster blacksploitation flicks which are good as well.
I mostly watch Sci-fi for either if they are showing reruns of older shows, They used to shows "Night Stalker" reruns episodes from the 70's.
TBS and TNT isn't what it used to be neither. So Sad.
Yes, Sci-fi used to show them horror flicks back in the 90's. I wish I could remember some of those horror flicks they showed I remember some of them but a lot I can't. It's been along time.
Well times are changing and I highly doubt that Sci-fi will ever change their format up, even if it's for a week. -
RobBase086-1 — 18 years ago(January 23, 2008 03:30 PM)
I know what you mean about the times are changing and that is why you are seeing a lot of movies and shows that were once shown at one time on TV are no longer being shown at all you know.
That is why I am trying to get back a show that was great to watch on the weekends called USA UP ALL NIGHT. I always thought that it would remain on for a very long time.
The program USA UP ALL NIGHT ran for like 12 years. I was thinking that Rhonda Shear was going to remain hosting the show until she got married and had kids or she got too old to do it and had to be replaced with someone new you know. Even with Gilbert Gottfried as well.
I am not the kind of person who likes drama shows, cop shows, or reality shows you know. That is why I no longer really watch CBS, ABC, or NBC like I once did before. Yes I have to agree with you on TBS and TNT with their programming because I will be watching movies and then the next thing I know they have Law&Order or some TV show on you know. TBS needs to lay off of the FRIENDS episodes, Kink and Queens, Seinfeld, and any other show you can think of that they show.

I was just going to ask you did Gilbert Gottifried have something to do with that. Sure enough he did. It's all coming back to me now, I remember watch that around 1996 or 1997.
I hardly watch anything new on TV, I only watch but 2 shows on CBS, nothing on NBC and hardly anything on ABC but the news and at times one of their dramdies, which I really don't care too too much for.
All those shows you mentioned that TBS shows in reruns, I never care for anyone of them. I too wish they would lay off Friends,Kings and Queens, and Seinfeld, I never watched them when they made episodes.
I'm also quite tired of the many "Law & Order" shows.
I like dramas and crime shows, but I really don't like any recent ones that still make episodes except for "Cold Case" that's it. -
RobBase086-1 — 18 years ago(January 24, 2008 03:25 AM)
No I do not believe Gilbert Gottfried had anything to do with USA UP ALL NIGHT being removed from the USA Network. Mainly I think what it was that they hired a bunch of different program executives that wanted to go into a different direction and that is why you saw USA UP ALL NIGHT get removed from the USA Network.
I do not really know but I am just guessing you know because I have noticed that when a network changes its programming it is to compete with other major networks as well. The only thing that I may watch on NBC is The New American Gladiator but I am not too fond of it because I like the original one better. Then I am going to check out the new Knight Rider to see how that is going to go.
I do not care for all of those shows and the many others either that TBS shows. Well what they are trying to appeal to is a certain audience that they know loves those kinds of shows and that is why they show it. When it was on the normal networks they knew it received the high ratings and that is why they show it now.
I know what you mean! I did not watch those shows either when they were in prime time because I was watching other things that I liked. I will watch other shows instead of CBS, ABC, or NBC because they do not show anything that appeals to me at all.
That is all that they want to show now is all of the Law&Order shows including the spin offs as well. I mean come on there is other things that they could show instead of that you know. That is why I no longer watch USA Network anymore because they do not show anything worth watching anymore.
They did at one time but not now though. That is why I am fighting to get back USA UP ALL NIGHT and I have everyone that are in their 18 to possibly early 20's telling me that USA UP ALL NIGHT will never be shown on the USA Network again because they have changed their programming since NBC bought out USA Network.
They tell me to give up on it and all. I will not until the USA Network sends me a letter or a email that tells me to give up on USA UP ALL NIGHT because they will never show it again.

Oh no I don't believe that Gilbert Gottified was responsible for the USA UP ALL NIGHT to end, I wasn't sure if he was on it or not, because I remember years ago, tuning in and watching him yelling at someone, then a movie came on.
I think that first networks like NBC, needs to stop making ideas that was once TV shows come back. A new "Knight rider"? come on that is dumb, can't they leave well enough alone, I heard they did a remake of "Wonder Woman" They really ran out of material.
Shows like "Friends", and "Seinfeld", will be in syndication for a long time to come, It's sad,but they were very popular shows to people. I never found those shows the least bit humorous. I think in my opinion NBC went down.
I rmember long ago, USA used to show game shows. I'm really sick of "Law & Order, I like Crime Shows but I never care for "Law & Order" it's been on too long, and the only thing they are probably doing is repeating the same old crime format from each week, 18 years is a little too long.
I sent Sci-fi a e-mail somedays ago to show more older horror movies from the 80's and early 90's. I hope they will listen. I e-mailed TV Land and told them something, they listened.
Did you tape any of the movies that aired on USA UP ALL NIGHT? -
RobBase086-1 — 18 years ago(January 25, 2008 03:25 AM)
No I do not think that Gilbert Gottfried had anything to do with USA UP ALL NIGHT being canceled either. Yes he was a host of the show from the time it started back in 1986 until I believe 1998. I do not remember seeing him yelling at someone and the moving going on because usually during commercial breaks I went to the bathroom or got me something to snack on or drink you know.
I know what you mean about NBC making a new Knight Rider show and it makes me wonder if David Hasselhoff is going to be a part of the show or not? I mean now if they would have had it where he got married which he did in a episode back in the first season and they had a son before his wife died then I can see a new Michael Knight Jr. being the next lonely crusador you know.
I have not heard about the remake of Wonder Woman but they have done a remake of the Bionic Woman and changed everything from the original show on how Jaime Somers had her accident. Instead of a parachute accident they make it a car accident. Yes they have ran out of material to do and they are desperate to keep the ratings up.
That sucks that Friends and Seinfeld will always be in syndication. I would rather watch something else than those stupid shows! I never found them funny either man. Yes NBC has gone down dramatically a lot.
Yes USA Network always use to watch game shows at one time. I cannot remember the name of the show but I saw it on VH1 I Love The 80's and I was like "DAMN I remember seeing this in syndication on USA Network back in the day! I am sick of the Law&Order marathons as well! That is why I created this website to help get USA UP ALL NIGHT back on Friday and Saturday nights once again!
I mean they can combine some of the new programming that they have with NBC alow with the old USA Network program of USA UP ALL NIGHT! I would go for that man if they did that.
That is great to hear that you emailed Sci-Fi Channel and I hope it works as well! I am glad that TV Land listened to your suggestion guy. No unfortunately I did not tape any of the movies from USA UP ALL NIGHT. I wished that I did because if I did then I would be a very happy man you know because I would have a marathon of USA UP ALL NIGHT on its regularly scheduled time frame on Friday and Saturday nights if I did.

In my opinion NBC hasn't been good since 1996, but before that really 1993. I seen Gilbert Gottfried yelling or just talking a little loud remember it's been a long time!
It was one of those women shows see I don't play attention too much of those show. I guess it is Bionic Woman. I still don't watch it.
Tell me a little something about this game show that used to come on USA, I know they used to show "Press Your Luck" and a few other shows on USA. A little background.
I would go along with that idea, I would also go along if Sci-fi could continue shows their crappy made for tv movies about nonesense and show older movies as well a frequently You see make a compromise.
People say that the reason I don't like shows like Friends or Seinfeld is because of the humor. Not ture, I give those show a try some years ago, and I had to turn the channel it was too corny. Add to the list "Everybody Loves Raymond" I don't like that show neither.
You should of taped those movies, I know I would of, because I heard somewhere they say if you see a show on a network tape it, (kinda like what like a USA UP ALL NIGHT type program) tape it because it may go off on day and not return. If their is something good on TV and I like it I try my hardest to tape it.
