Freddy's Dead vs. Jason Goes to Hell

Honestly, I really enjoy both films (and think both are vastly underrated), but between the two I prefer Jason Goes To Hell; loved the unique concept it took as opposed to some of the other entries in the series (the body snatcher type plot was a refreshing change of pace from the norm of the series).

I made a response to this post thinking it was about Freddy's Dead Vs H6:The Curse of Michael Myers a few days ago and I apologize for not being observant and jumping the gun so here's my response to this post.
To be honest I really dislike Jason Goes to Hell:The Final Friday I enjoy the first ten minutes of it when Jason was getting shot up that was cool.The rest of the film is a different story it totally disrespected the cannon of previous films that progressive gotten worse with each installment.The film was too weird and made no sense just a poorly made film.
While Freddy's Dead:The Final Nightmare on the other hand I found it to be excellent.The whole film has a very cool and unique feel to it.The film has Robert Englund just having fun with the role.The characters are all likable.The creativity is beyond the roof with this motion picture.
So I give.
JGTH:TFF a 3/10
FD:TFN a 8/10
So it goes without saying I vastly prefer Freddy's Dead:The Final Nightmare. -

slightly better but that's not saying much.
Jason Goes to Hell
is a much bigger headache of a movie though

I'm a Friday the 13th guy, but I would say that Jason Goes to Hell is the worse of the two. At least Freddy's Dead has some cool/creepy imagery. After the first 10 minutes of JgtH it's not even a real Jason movie IMO.
For both films, it just bugs the hell out of me when a director/writing team decide to take liberties with the canon while at the same time making a crappy movie. -

Freddy's Dead is much better, cause even though the Krueger character is at his silliest here, at least he's actually in most of the film. The last time I watched JGTH I was just kind of bored, contrarily Nightmare 6 is very entertaining and a more well-written & produced film overall. I enjoyed learning more about Krueger's past/childhood and the story makes more sense in terms of the mythology.
