The similarities between Freddy's Dead and The 1989 Nightmare on Elm Street Nintendo game?
It's so obvious that Rachel Talalay took her inspiration from the 1989 game and 1989 Marvel Comics series yet apparently only i see it -

In the Nintendo game, yeah you did have to find Freddy's bones. Actually, the Freddy game that is actually based on Dream Warriors is the PC A Nightmare On Elm Street game. Not many people talk about it, they talk about the NES game but it was actually good and fun to play. You can choose any of the 5 Dream Warriors (Nancy, Kincaid, Taryn, Kristen and Will). Freddy has Joey kidnapped. You even get mission briefings from Sister Mary Helena (Amanda Krueger).

When you play nightmare on elm street you are the last surviving kid in town white with black hair, all the houses are run down and abandoned, there are no adults to be found but if you did they would likely be bat poop insane,Freddy controls the entire town even in the awake world and drops of water from the ceiling turn to blood when you fall asleep. Is any of this sounding familar?

The question isnt where the game took their ideas from but where Rachel Talalay took her ideas from and from watching her describe the power glove on the nightmare documentary it is obvious she is a nintendo fan so you can bet she played the elm street nintendo game in 1989 and used the imagination behind it to start production on freddys dead the next year

Nobody has ever beaten the Slime Level on the Nightmare on Elm Street 3 DOS game. Seriously try looking up any video or text walkthrough and you will find they all end at the Slime Level also i think Rachel Talalay and i do know the Nightmare series better than anyone and thats why she made Freddy's Dead and why my favorite is Freddy's Dead. The problem is everybody else doesn't get it
