Kaldyne, I think you need to seriously lighten up. I mean OK pure luck is a bit predictable, but to go as far as to say:
"All copies of this film, including scripts and directors notes should be cast into a huge bonfire and burned so future generations cannot be psychologically scarred by the veiwing of this horrible film."
I mean come on..bottom line..ITS A COMEDY just a slapstick movie to get a laugh or two out of. full stop.
Bring on the DVD
"The box. You opened it. We came. " -

I said it and I stand by it. This movie is stupid. The script is stupid. The concept is stupid. The actors have made decent movies in the past so I will not critise them TOO horribly. But they do deserve a STERN "talking to" regarding the scripts that they pick. Or what thier managers pick for them.
But to the Origenal Poster? "Probably the Funniest Movie Ever Made"? SHAME ON YOU.
Or maybe you have never seen a different movie other than this one. If that is the case I do apologize.
My "At the Time" girlfriend and I saw this movie in the theater and we both hated it. I vowed never to see it again. Unfortunatly, I was plagued with it TWO more time at social events that I was too polite at the time to ask them to PLEASE GOD MAKE IT STOP. But when it was over on BOTH occasions the concensus was that the movie blew chunks.
NOW you people want this travesty out on DvD? You want other people to experience this piece of crap caught on tape? You would not want to release the PLAGUE if you had it contained, out to the general public, would you? SO why release Pure Luck on DvD?
Take the money that it will cost to convert it and distribute it and use that cash for something good. I donate to AIDS in Africa. I suggest the same be done here or some other worthy cause. -

I totally agree, one of my favorite movies, laughed so hard that I peed my pants! Possibly because I can associate with the bad lucklol. For whatever reason, no one I know has seen this movie. Maybe when they release it on DVD people will finally see it.

Please go to the Video Store and rent ANYTHING there. Now. Platoon was funnier than this movie. The last half of Titanic was funnier than this.
Actually that is not fair. The last half of Titanic WAS funny. I was ROFL when Leo kicked the bucket. -

With all due respect, Kaldyne, why even post in a pro Pure Luck thread? Just curious.
Now, I wouldn't go so far as to call it the funniest movie of all time but it is hysterically funny lol. The scene that get's me everytime, and keeps me laughing all day long if I keep replaying it over again in my head, is the scene when Glover shows that villager the picture of Valerie and it makes the man scream in fear LOL!!
And on top of that, he just keeps showing it to him over and over again looking facinated at the poor bastards reaction lol. -

I post on this thread as a public service. If I can stop the horror of Pure Luck from spreading to just ONE person, I will consider it worth it.
Please remember, Nazism was considered a good idea as some before the masses broke out and reeducated the world of it's evils. -

Why do you say that? As if Pure Luck can be improved viewing-wise if you watch it baked.
TRUST ME it cannot.
And let me point this out. The Origenal Poster on this thread PICKED the name DORK as his alias. Coincidence? I think not.
I am right, you are wrong. Pure Luck sucks. I rule. -

Nah, you'd probably have better luck going with the wall if you go down that road..
It was just a way of expressing my suggestion that you strongly need to take a pill and chill and stop going apesh*t over an easygoing flick like this.
..And you call him a dork.
Cheers anyway. -

Well.. Maybe there's a point there.. The name is debatable.
Anyhow.. This terrible experiense surely must have given you some sort of appriciation to your life and the time that's devilishly running past ya - for instance 4 hours of those miserable moments from Pure luck. And you respond to that by wasting your time posting how much you hate it and trash upon those who take it with a bit of laughter and less narrow minded perspective on it.
Sincerest best wishes on your wall experiense, by the way. It's a hell of a ride.
Cheers. -

Yeah well.
Right on. Was actually just hunting for a thread of arguement here.. The movie is kinda shabby, really..
.But I be damned if you say that a guy getting hit three times by lightning and once in a theatre is not funny! -

I loved this movie, too! My favorite scene was when Martin Short made a scene of checking out the chairs at the long table, and managed to pick the one with a busted leg. It's like, wouldn't most people just sit in the first chair, instead of examining each one before making a decision, lol.
