Why no DVD?

Again here's another one agreeing with the rest of you. This film needs to be released on DVD. Martin Short is hilarious in it and Danny (Murtaugh) Glover does great as well. I guess we need to start a petition or something, I mean Universal probably has all their other titles released why not this one. Anyway just to talk about the movie for a second, I love how GLover makes Short's character feel like he's in charge at the beginning. ***1/2
-Actually now to think about it, maybe Anchor Bay can release it. They've come through on movies like The Pirate Movie and what not!! -

The movie was released on DVD a few years ago but not by Universal, it was released by GoodTimes. I remembered seeing it at the bargain bins of many Wal-Mart stores circa 2001 or 02 but never bothered to buy it. The GoodTimes DVD was pulled out of circulation probably because Universal is going to release a version themselves. The same thing happened with "Born in East L.A." where it was released by GoodTimes at first and then a Universal version came up. GoodTimes had the DVD rights to several Universal films and they were slowly one by one pulled out of print, then Universal regained the rights and started to release new versions of these films.

I was only a kid when I saw this movie in theatres. I barely remember anything about it except that I thought it was hilarious. My dad and uncle dropped my older cousin and I off to watch this one while they went to go see, I think a Bond movie. Anyway, I stumbled across this again looking at Harry Shearer's filmography as it's his birthday today. I hope it gets released on DVD soon. I wouldn't mind re-living some old childhood memories again.

This is such an underrated movie. It is one of my all-time favourite comedies, and one of Martin Short's very best works. I watched it a couple times on a movie channel when it came out, and haven't seen it since. I wanna watch it with my family now !

Its an OOP VHS movie, so why would they bother digitalizing it? It's OUT OF PRINT. I guess anybody out there who trashed their VCR's are out of luck on this one.
Another way to get it onto a disc is to find someone who owns it on VHS and transfer it over, it will still be in VHS quality but at least it would last longer and not have a large black plastic box sitting around anymore.
I have a simple VHS/DVD Recorder that has a auto-dubbing option, however it's copy protected so I can't get it to transfer unfortunately. When I figure it out, I will indeed seed it
