If you're into the Robin Hood myth then you should definitely check out the 1980s british series ROBIN OF SHERWOOD. Michael Praed is my (and many other's) favorite Robin Hood ever.
and the idea of an Arab being one of the Merry Men also comes from that tv-series

Costner. I have a hard time believing anyone would follow Russel Crowe like this. I like him but still. Costner is better for this roll. English accent or not.

Yep. Hasn't been one as good since, and may never be again. If you've not seen the 1939 'Adventures of Robin Hood', find it and watch it. Fantastic.
