I love the humor of this one. It's serious and has action while still providing a lightheartedness to the overall feel.

I love the humor of this one. It's serious and has action while still providing a lightheartedness to the overall feel. The Russel Crowe one is too noir and Frank Miller. And at least this one isn't completely boring, with a great cast and great characters. I honestly couldn't give a crap less about Costner not attempting an English accent. Outside of the accent, I thought he played a pretty convincing and charismatic Robin Hood. Russel Crowe is too macho. He has no humor to his portrayal. It's like watchingEmo Robin Hood.
People with no imagination don't appreciate imagination. -

I do prefer Costner's Robin to Crowe's even though I recognize they are completely different portrayals of the character and the myth. Actually, Errol Flynn's Robin Hood tops all portrayals of the "man in tights" - including the Disney version with the fox.
