I've never done drugs and I think this movie is amazing. The acting they should have both received oscar nominations. Their descent into drug addiction was really captivating.

I really enjoyed the film. It is probably my very favorite movie in the category of drama. I've had similar experiences and hung around circles similar to what is seen in the film. When you're in the middle of it it feels so casual and it's hard to realize how deep into the fold you may be. It's a dangerous existence. And when you get out you feel like you lived through something profound. That's why I really appreciate the movie. It's true-to-life. I could see why many people would be turned off by the content. But if you're into crime dramas it is a very good story and there isn't a boring part throughout it. I don't think you need to have done drugs to enjoy the movie either.

That's a weird question. Of course there is. Why wouldn't you be able to enjoy a movie unless you're not "personally involved"?
The atmosphere/soundtrack, the acting/casting and direction make the movie for me. The story is not too tight, but nobody's perfect. For a cop drama/thriller it's pretty damn good. -

I like it,I'm not really into gritty crime movies for instance I. Hate "brooklyns finest" with Richard Gere because it was too disturbing for me.but I like this movie because I've had simalar and been around people with simalr experiances I was able to relate and that made the movie watchable and relatable.

I
LOVE
this movie, and I've never done street drugs. I've hung with some pot smokers in my time I'm cool with it, but it's just not my thang. I love JJL, Sam Elliott, and Jason Patric in these roles. Phenomenal! But Clapton's tunes and all that southern rock! I was born in 1967 and raised on radio. I know the country songs (Freddy Fender, Patsy Cline), thanks to my parents, and the rock, thanks to my older brothers, and the disco (The Ohio Players!), thanks to being just a kid in the 70s. So there you go, Asgard-5! I've loved this film since the first time I saw it. Hendrix's version of All Along the Watchtower kicks ass. Bridge of Sighs by Robin Trower, former member of Procol Harum. Simply amazing music.
