"but if memory serves, Greg Allman once dodged some legal trouble over drugs by ratting out persons of his acquaintance &, as such, is maybe not so cool, after all."
He informed on one of his best friends who worked for the band, and was responsible for babysitting him. This guy had even saved his life a couple of times when he overdosed on heroin. Part of his job was to carry Greg Allmans drugs around so that Allman couldn't be arrested for possession.
Allman turned him in and testified in court against him in order to save his own ass,and the guy got some serious hard time in Club Fed.
Greg Allman is scum-sucking trash when he's having a good day. -

Look up the book called smith county justice. This happened in and around Tyler, Texas. I had the book at one time and a cop friend if mine told me to never let it be seen. To this day there's a "conspiracy" to hoard and get rid of all the books. I would still have mine but somehow lost it when I moved. A friend of mines father is actually in the book. Lived there almost 10 years. Was glad when I moved away. The movie is based in part and around this book.
If there must be trouble, let it be in my day, that my child may have peace. -

Be forewarned in looking for Smith County Justice. Copies go for hundreds of dollars, but I looked around for you and just put it in your search engine and u can find a free copy to read online. I wish I still had my copy. It was first edition that my friend gave me (the friend her father was in the book) LOL. She didn't want it anymore. If I get a chance today I'll try to get you some links, but I have tests all day at hospital. Good luck, it's a great read.
