In the Trivia section above it says Tom Cruise turned down the role of Jim Raynor because he didn't like the idea of him having to take drugs. This leads me to my question, where Jason Patric and Jennifer Jason Leigh really taking drugs in this film? And thank God Tom Cruise didn't accept the role, can you imagine him as Raynor? PA-LEASE!!

        NO WAY!!!
They actually do that at Hollywood and get away with it?
I heard NATURAL BORN KILLERS was directed while some of the actors were messed up.
I wonder if Nick Cage was actually drinking in L.LAS VEAGS.
I also have always wondered 'bout TRAINSPOTTING.
        Later

Neoplastic is right. In most hollywood films the actors really take heroin in the scenes to make it more realistic.
Al Pacino had such fun doing the final scene in scarface right up to when he really got shot but you have to suffer for your art.

It took 33 days to film Animal House and the director had said on one of those E True Hollywierd shows that there was drugs on the set 31 out of the 33 days. If you'll notice JB isn't in the show 2/3 of the way through it. I assume it's when the guys goes and picks up the girls from that womens college and hit the Destalay club.

it's a well spread tale that Norton and Pitt were drunk during the golf ball scene in Fight Club, and that they were hitting the craft services truck. I heard an interview with the writer of the book that "21" is based on and for the love scene in that film the actors drank a bottle.
i'm sure there have been plenty of times some alcohol has been used. Brando had to have at some point.
              heroin however

It's called public image. Cruise doesn't want for his characters to be perceived as "bad" bad boys. He might loose the PG crowd.
