Better than Beauty and the Beast?

I too would pick Aladdin over BATB. There is no doubt that both are great movies with superb animation and music, but one area that I feel Aladdin outdoes BATB is the secondary characters. Abu, Iago, Genie, Carpet, Raja, Sultan, Head Guard etc, were all more interesting and cleverly fleshed out than the secondary characters in BATB, whom I found to be a teeny bit boring.

Aladdin was my favorite Disney movie for a long time. Aladdin, Lion King, and then B&B.
However, they're far different films. Aladdin is more of an uplifting underdog story. Aladdin is brave, a great guy that came out on top, when everything was stacked against him. There is also a lot more comedy in it. B&B is like a romantic fantasy, a happily-ever-after love story. More of a musical style as well. A super sweet girl that is able to reach the beast and make him vulnerable. So much so that he would risk his own life to defend her against some wolves, and she would go back to save him even after how mean he was thought to be. There was something really good inside.
So yea I don't see the sense in comparing them when they're completely different stories, even though they might have some similar elements. -

Yeah, you're right. I've since decided that there's no use in comparing the two movies. Although my heart still lies with Aladdin (and probably always will), I've come to appreciate BATB more. I doubt it will ever be one of my favourites, but I can respect that others think differently.

I don't know if I would say it is better then Beauty and the Beast, but I would say that Beauty and the Beast has the better opening song of the two. If you look at a lot of the opening songs, a lot of them are at lest 4 minutes or longer in length. And the first song in Aladdin is barely what 2 minutes long. Through I wouldn't count Kristoff as a Disney Prince, he was the ice man in the movie. So what would make you think he would count as a prince? If he was I am sure he could have a servant do the job for him, and not doing it himself. Then again thinking about it, neither was Aladdin even through he did pretend to be one. But just by falling in love with a prince or a princess, doesn't make you a prince or princess. But why would you think Beauty and the Beast falls below short of Aladdin?

Not better (Even without Williams, BatB still topped Aladdin in the talent department.), but considerably more fun. I always preferred the fast-paced Disney flicks (Aladdin, Hercules) over the more plodding, "grim" ones like BatB and "Hunchback."

BatB isn't even half as grim as Hunchback, though?
No, it definitely is not. Frollo was the darkest animated Disney character ever and some of the scenes in "Hunchback" were PG-13 material. It was a travesty that Disney got the MPAA to give it a G-rating.

I like both movies expect for I know that the boards for Beauty and the Beast are more popular the only thing I would say about the movie that I don't like is when idiots and moron was used in the movie, and there is no one mention of either word in Beauty and the Beast.
