Not at all! I've seen this movie many times and the end always gets me in tears.

No, I shed a tear too, typical Chaplin huh? I was laughing at the footage they showed of his performaces at the 1972 Oscar ceremony, then cried at the end. I think he is the only comedian that can make you do that!

The ending was very emotional. I too, had tears.

Each time I watch it, I have to try harder and harder to fight back tears (even before the ending). I just fall in love with Chaplin (and RDJ) even more and more. Especially after continually watching more of his films, I am more in awe of him than ever before.

I got a little misty. I think it was about genius being appreciated. To compose direct act in and write modern times and the great dictator in a 2 year span has got to be the greatest achievement ever in film making. Ironically he didn't do a lot after that (except have 8 children with someone he loved.).

John Barry's beautiful music, alone, is enough to bring tears. But yes this was a fantastic film.

I cry every time I watch it. It's like you expect him to go on forever but also love that he got to see his work appreciated.
