Chaplin's mother. She was a warmhearted woman who wanted her two sons all the good in the world, but sadly she suffered from serious mental illness most of her life and was not able to give them proper support. Geraldine does a wonderful, intensive performance, although she doesn't resemble the older Hannah.

Hannah was Charlie's mother and her own grandmother. It says that in the film and in the trivia section on here.

Hannah was visiting her son on one of his sets. She was sprinkling something on her head. I think it was crackers. Was it? I didn't pay attention to the actress last name until I got here. That's intresting!
