        He didn't mentor Chaplin, but the pants worn by the Tramp were actually a pair of Arbuckle's trousers(if the Peter Aykroyd biography is accurate).

          Yes, he did (as well as Buster Keaton which is why both of them supported him emotionally and financially during and after the "witch hunt" trials.) And yes, they were Roscoe's pants.
