after hearing some people discussing this movie at work I was pretty excited to watch a movie that for some reason i haven't even heard of, that has an amazing plot twist!
So the movie plays out.very basic story. Almost to the point of being boring. And at the end when the credits rolled I was like, WTF was the twist?
So I hit the message boards. Dil being a guy was the "twist"? that was beyond obvious! When the he first comes on screen I was like, whoa check this dude out.
I get that it was a huge reveal for some people. but, it wasn't even half way through the movie! then the rest of the movie is this completely boring assassination plot.
I thought it was gonna be a bit like vertigo. When fergus cuts Dils hair and puts him in Jody's white sweater ( the white sweater he is in in fergus' dream) he kinda makes Dil look like Jody. kinda. I thought the end was going to be some dramatic chase where Dil ( as the new Jody) runs into the street and gets hit by a car. Fergus loses the same person twice.
the only thing I didn't see coming in this was Jody getting smoked by the truck in the beginning.
I'm not hating on this movie ( other than i find the plot a little tedious). Just didnt think the twist was a twist.

I know what a troll is. A troll is you. It is logically impossible for you to have figured out the plot twist. So no, a majority did not know right away. At least not without going on imdb before watching it.

This movie came out in 1992 idiot. Most people didn't even know about imdb or have access.
Do you realize that you just repeated what I just said. I guess I should thank you for proving my point. So thanks.
I'm guessing you are a dude who wants to pass as female and fools yourself into believing you actually do. Sorry dude, but we can tell.
First, what does my gender have to do with this? That's irrelevent and unrelated. Second, I am a proud woman. But nice analogy moron, and who's we? What can you tell? -

Your gender has a lot to do with it. It would cause you to have a problem with the fact that everyone could easily see it was a man, because of your own insecurities with trying to pass. It is not unrelated, but nice try.
My gender has NOTHING to do with the debate, period. Me being in fact a woman has nothing to do with what I can and cannot see, you sexist moron. And your use of the word "insecurity" makes no sense.
Proved what point? Very few people had the internet at that time, but everyone who watched it knew it was a man. He didn't have to whip his dick out for people to know he had one.
You clearly were not around at the time the film was made, that is why you are so misinformed. No one knew that it was a man and not a woman at the time.
It was an "attempt" at a plot twist, but it succeeded because it was a surprise. -

I'm sorry, but you're quite wrong. A lot of people noticed it, if not right away, after several scenes. I know I did, so I'm sure others did as well.
So yeah, don't go straight to calling someone a retard and accusing them of trolling. -

Uhm no, a lot of people did not notice it. At least 95% did not, especially when it was first released.
I know I did, so I'm sure others did as well.
lol, yeah right.
And I can call someone a retard for trolling.
