I was a Marine Aviator, and just after I made Captain, I remember going home on leave and my mom said "Wow Daddy, a Captain" she thought I had my own boat and everything, hana. LOL

JAG officers spend time as either prosecution or defense and then they switch after x time/experience or case adjudication. Also, Marines are Marines not soldiers. It is like calling a person by their siblings name, same family but different person, lol.
