I didn't start watching Cheers until it was over. I guess I was too young at the time to understand what was going on. You should try at Season 6. The Rebecca years are much better than the Diane years.

Of the few episodes I watch , Woody was the bar man and I didn't get the, I'm as thick as three short planks humour.

Oh ok. Yeah its not everyone's cup of tea. He is pretty much like that the entire show. It didnt bother me that much but then again I have a weird sense of humor.

Funny thing is, I like Woody Harilson as an actor.

I was 14 when "Cheers" ended, and never watched one episode until the series finale when it originally aired, but gave up about five minutes in. I guess I was too young and naive to understand that it's impossible to enjoy a series when you never got the chance to warm up to the characters. 20 years later, I watched the pilot on Netflix and again gave up. Tried it again a few days later and was instantly hooked!

If it's still on Netflix in the UK, I'll give it a second try.
Is Frasier a regular on the show?

Yes, from season 5 onward. Prior to that, he's just recurring.

Because it's probably the funniest American sitcom. Not as good a only fools and Horses, no show could out do that.
