Archived from the IMDb Discussion Forums — NYPD Blue

    JPBMILLION — 9 years ago(December 05, 2016 05:14 AM)

H&I is finally airing Season 12 and the first 3 episodes have aired all with Bill Brochtrup seen but not named. Still in the credits, but never directly identified in the credits unlike his costars. John Irvin still worked the desk, but Bill Brochtrup was nameless in the intro. Anybody know why?

That's an odd thing. I'm watching on H&I right now, and checked it out. You're right, no name credit under his picture, and he was the only one. I couldn't find anything with a quick search that might explain it.

Gonna watch the rest of Season 12 now wondering If he went nameless the whole time. Almost 10 episodes from that season and he's a Clint Eastwood character, he's the man without a name.

H&I just wrapped up 2004 with the first half of Season 12 and Bill Brochtrup is still an actor without a name. How ignorant were the producers to no notice his name was missing from the credits? Even with the addition of Currie Graham. Serious case of HUA going on here.

I noticed this as well and came here to comment.
I can't believe the show would go the entire season without SOMEONE noticing
that BB's name was missing in the credits.
I thought that BB might have had some issue with the show and asked to have his
name removed, but I haven't found any evidence of that on-line.
Regardless, I'm glad that H&I is showing NYPD Blue, so now I can see the entire
                  series from beginning to end.
