Did anyone actually like the cast from the first season?

Yeah, they were basically rip-offs of the original cast, but I still liked them and thought they had potential. I was kinda disappointed when they retooled it and kept changing the cast.
I've got a theory. It could be bunnies.

I liked them. I thought they had potential to be as classic as the original SBTB cast. the only character I hated was Vicky, but her crush on Scott could have developed in Season 2.

I liked them but I understood why they were let go seeing how they wanted this show to stand out on it's own.

The season 1 cast was great, far better than the later seasons.

I liked the S1 cast and am disappointed they changed them as well. It's the only season I have on DVD.

The first season of this series is supposed to be like the original class series, but there should be NO difficulty in this first season series. Unfortunately, it was not tolerable, so half of the cast was written out badly.
The new class isn't that great as the original, but it is not supposed to be too difficult as the original, in the meantime. That is a reason why Dustin came into this new class in order to not get involved with too much difficulty with all new class students, unlike his original class.

No. It was a bad imitation of the original. Basically the same characters played by different actors.

Partly I do, but they were trying to imitate the original without including difficultly on each other, but the TV critics could not tolerate that excuse at all.

What bothered me is they had a problem with copycats of the characters but no problem recycling storylines? And this show had plenty of those!

The first season cast is not bad but they were basically rip offs from the original except for maybe Vicki. I think the show had a great cast in season 2 , too bad that didn't last though.
