Why do people ask such obvious questions when they already have the greatest machine at their fingertips"THE INTERNET!" Just search for Gatlin,Nebraska man.you'll have your question shortly.

If you look on the main page for this film and click on the side tab under filming locations it says that this was filmed in Liberty, North Carolina. I can't varify that but according to IMDB that's where COTC 2 was shot. By the way Gatlin, Nebraska isn't a real place. The town of Gatlin doesn't exist.
What happened in Gatlin was those kids went ape beep and killed everybody

Niether is Hemingford, both were names made up by Stephen King, as well as Derry Maine among others
Why must close-minded people always open their mouths?

Actually, Hemingford Nebraska is a real town. A friend of mine used to live there when I was a kid.

If you've read "The Stand," you'd know the town is actually called Hemingford Home, not just Hemingford. So there might be a Hemingford, Nebraska, but there's likely no such place as Hemingford Home, Nebraska.

Yeah, I checked the filming locations and it said Liberty, North Carolina. Has anyone confirmed this or has anyone been there before and can confirm. I guess I could see that this could have been shot in central North Carolina. I'll have to take a stroll through there one day to check it out. I'm also still planning on going up to Iowa where the first installment was filmed real soon. I don't live far from North Carolina so that should be an easy trip.

The filming took place in various places of Randolph County, North Carolina. Some places were in Ramsuer while most were in Liberty. I can verify this since most of the scenes of the roads look to be Old Liberty Rd. I'm not from Liberty, but I am from the same county and believe mepeople there sort of take a little pride in this movie. lol.
