I rewatched it and heard the sheriff mention Isaac, Burt and Vicky. But where was Malachi mentioned?

Yeah, I think I know who you're thinking of. In the cornfield, Micah calls out the name Mordecai, the Malachi wanna-be of this movie.

Specific names aren't mentioned. Previous poster is correct that they mention a couple was passing on through the town before the discovery of the dead bodies.
