Found guilty of involuntary manslaughter

I'm not a lawyer but I don't think that was a good charge. I think involuntary manslaughter requires the offender to have proximately caused the death. In this case that is Simon Phoenix lighting gasoline that he dumped on the floor. Phoenix lit the gasoline because Spartan entered the room but that isn't enough to charge him criminally. He could probably get sued in a civil court. If they wanted to make Spartan guilty of involuntary manslaughter they should have made him purposely destroy the building, which would have worked better anyway because he is the Demolition Man.
