I kinda feel like this should have been an Arnold movie.

There were 3 Arnold Schwarzenegger movies that Jesse Ventura was in and this is the Sylvester Stallone film with Jesse Ventura in it. I think a person made it up an Arnold Schwarzenegger cameo as a muscular thug like in the videos of John Spartan.

Arnie would have been wrong for this he tends to lack a sense of humanity, you need someone like Stallone who chases women and likes to drink, have fun etc for this role.
Sometimes a movie or tv show plot is so stupid that only the stupid can understand it. -

Even though people dont want to admit it due to his slurred speech and muscular physiche, Stallone has acting chops. This wasnt your standard shoot em up action flick, it had a story to tell. Its hard to see Arnold pulling off the reserved anger Stallone did over what his character went through (being framed for murder, waking up in an ultra conservative future), when Arnold is angry in his films hes typically throwing a temper tantrum yelling and smashing things, Stallone also added a fair amount of humour quipping with Snipes and shaking his head over the way the future turned out. For instance I dont think Arnold would have pulled off Spartans first future car ride as well as Stallone did (how the car is so different and facepalming over the hot dog commercial).
Even though they were film rivals through the 80s and early 90s, you cant just assume one could pull off the others roles, they were different actors. Stallone wouldnt have been as good in the Terminator or Total Recall and Arnold wouldnt have been as goodin the Rocky films. -

How can anyone in their right mind deny Stallone's acting chops? Everyone's seen Rocky, and really those films (1, 2 and 6 at least) prove what an exceptional all around talent he is. You've never seen Arnold write/direct/star in a film series with that kind of cultural significance. Don't get me wrong, Arnold is a god, but he's not half as talented as Stallone, and the same goes for pretty much every other "action star" who ever has, or ever will exist.
