Goldman is jewish! Jeez. The name, kevin pollack has to be jewish, there is too many things that point towards them being jewish.

I don't believe they were Jewish, just Minnesotan! Some people in that particular area use phrases like "Oy-vey" and "Uff-da" it goes along with the accent!

Jacob is usually a Jewish name, and so is the last name of his character.

I'm a total wasp and say "Oy gevalt" and "tuchus." Yiddish has some great expressions that perfectly cap off a sentence.
Max might of been Jewish; but, he might also just be non-religious, so he probably didn't care if he was married in a Christian church.
Fortunately, Ah keep mah feathers numbered for just such an emergency!

Yes Walter Matthau is Jewish.
They play characters that in general aren't Jewish.
Nevertheless, Walter's character is allowed to be portrayed as Jewish. In the sense of why not.. 'Suspension of Disbelief'..
The characters are funny, the story is funny.. the movie is a comedy.
