Spot on.
The setting is interesting in a "time and place" sort of way, and it was well done in terms of the costumes and soundtrack, but the characters were ridiculously miscast and the plot was handled in such a ham-fisted way it was almost parody-like. -

You honestly think this is worst the south Central? I can't really watch any of them cause of don't be a menace to South Central while drinking your juice in the hood. They're just comedies to me know but I thought this was waaayy better then that piece of beep

I had a few felony arrests from selling drugs in the 90's. We went to the "ghetto" all the time to buy drugs to sell back in the suburbs to white people. We hung out with "ghetto" boys all the time. Robbing crews, dope boys, gangbangers, the whole deal. I went to the mall with them. I ate meals with them. I went to movies with them. I got roughed up by cops with them. I got drunk and high with them. I rode around in Mercedes Benzes and Cadillacs with them. So, yeah I've seen probably more than you ever will and heard a lot more. Not trying to front falsified knowledge (which is what this would usually sound like on the internet) but you pushed the issue so there you go. I am not putting myself forward as a ghetto expert despite my experiences, BTW. I do know a little bit, however, and more than most people. I met some good people and some very bad people in the ghetto, but I never met anyone like Caine. Certainly no dope boys like Caine. There probably are people like Caine in the ghetto, but they are keeping a low profile. As I said in my OP, Caine is about the least scary black man I can imagine.

Amazing that some of the punk kids on here will actually believe people like you. Kaine is UNBELIEVABLY accurate as a portrayal of young American black teens, even to this day.

Idiot. I've worked in these places for years, seen these idiots go to jail countless times. O-Dawg keeping the tape of him killing the convenience store owner is sadly and hilariously believable, thinking he can sell it and become a millionaire. Years ago, I thought this movie was mediocre, if not unlikable. Now, it's frighteningly accurate and true to me, and many parts are hilarious because I've seen it happen so many times, mostly because these guys don't value educating themselves.

I don't have to debate my life with you, and I am not going to. I know what I did. Again, you are the one who showed up in the thread claiming to be a ghetto expert (and also that the rest of us knew nothing by comparison). I am sorry that (at least in my case) you were woefully wrong. When you go around assuming other strangers didn't experience certain things, you will often find yourself proven wrong.
Again, I am not claiming to be an expert but I did do and see a lot of things. I did not bring this up originally. You forced the issue with your BS posturing. The internet, it would seem to me, should have just as much of a problem believing you as they should believing me. Again, who is the first person to claim expert status? This is typically the sign of who is full of crap.
Oh, I'm doing great now and own my own house. How about you, still renting? Still living with the folks?
EDIT: as I alluded to in my OP, New Jersey Drive was much closer to reality at least in my experience. I knew people like those guys. I never met anyone like Caine. -

There might have been people like Caine, as I said before, but they were somewhere else (not in the dope game). Caine would have lasted 2 days in the dope game. I am sorry that you came across someone who had more experience and knowledge than you are used to. It happens. I guess you will have to learn to deal with it. Maybe next time don't go around acting like nobody knows the things you know (again assuming for the sake of argument that you even have the experience you are claiming to).
Other than that, not sure what else to tell you. You don't believe anything I say so why say anything else. I happen to basically believe what you are saying about your own experience, but I also think you are a massive douche and fairly weak/lame.
Go play somewhere else. I am sorry you got called out. Learn to live with it/deal with it. I am going back to my life now (which I assume, but have no proof, is more successful than yours). Spare me your next BS. I'm not interested. Officially done with you. Have a nice life, douche.
