Best movie of all time? Hardly. Good movie? Sure. But this wasn't even the best movie released in the weekend it OPENED in 1993.

I like it, but "best ever" is a bit of a stretch.

I think John Singleton has made better films. My order would be 'Boyz n The Hood', 'Baby Boy', 'Higher Learning', 'Poetic Justice' and then 'Four Brothers'. I don't like any of his other films besides those.

You're going to put this before Four Brothers? Wow.

Caught the end of Baby Boy. Such bad acting by the main character (when he got shot), I thought it was some TV movie that happened to have Snoop Dogg in it.

By far, the worst movie I've ever seen. Foul-mouthed and plot less. For those who've seen this movie that I've talked to, no one can make heads or tails out of this POS. Reeks hell.

Ever? You have GOT to be kidding. It has historical significance because of Tupac's death, it showcases Janet's beauty it's a snapshot of the lifestyle in LA and stuff like that but hardly what I would call a great movie. Gave it a 6. Mildly entertaining at best.

Not the best film ever but it is one of my sentimental adolescent favorites that I can't help rewatch whenever it shows up on TV again. Love the music, the 90s style, and Janet Jackson is a much better actress than people credited her with in this role.

I'm sorry - but Janet Jackson just isn't very good in this movie. She had her moments that were decent - but overall her acting was glaringly amateurish.
But, hey - all is forgiven, because it's Janet. Janet has sheer star power and presence that came through in this movie - though she was lacking skill. (I guess she had lost whatever "touch" she had during her "Good Times" and "Diff'rent Strokes" daysor those roles weren't as demanding.)
