I do agree with them that the boards are out of hand for a lot of the movies, but it would be nice if they had chosen to moderate them instead of just shutting them down.
Liberals claim to love "others ideas", until they find out people actually have other ideas.

I read on another board accusations that complaints from Social Justice Warrior "snowflake" types prompted IMDB to decide to shut down the message boards. Don't know if that's true, although I can believe it.

I agree, but swatting silly trolls is a full time job. On many forums discussion is impossible due to fools with nothing better to do than post stupid nonsense. Not funny, not smart or interesting. Just dumb, childish millennials, and mostly illiterate at that. Boring.

Maybe I'll see you there. Personally, I can't wait for our resident troll to show up there, posting his usual brilliant comments.

Sadly, that forum seems to be inactive. Too bad there isn't a movie version of "Previously TV" which is actively monitored and where trolls are not permitted.

Well, you might try this (quote from a post on another board):
"There's another site called themoviedb.org. Personally I don't care for the design, but it does offer a message board for every movie, show and actor. I haven't looked to see if there's any activity on the LMS board already but I plan to do so this Friday. I'm registered there with the same username and I hope that all of you will join me."

"There are no discussions for Tombstone." 😞
I guess we could start some.

There's a discussion thread on IMDB's message board for "Family Guy" that may be of interest. The thread is titled "The Internet Movie Database/Alternate."
