It's funny because I half expected the next comment on this to be from you or Bobbi, and when I saw "Cathaven97" I wondered if we had a new player on the board. But yeah, I seriously don't know what this guy is thinking.

It's interesting how everyone who comes here to bitch because they hate this never have anything to say but e.g, "This sux," or "This movie is stoopid" and can never articulate why. But actually, one person did complain that the movie is "racist" obviously not knowing that in the 1800's, political correctness had not yet been invented. Duh.

Totally, I can get that some people just dont like something, but its a very tough case to prove, saying this movie is not quality. And for the racist comment, just ignorant people. Especially since the movie did do a good job of subtely touching on the issues of the day with the nod to womens sufferage, which was in early stages at that time.

Sorry I'm late, but I don't usually respond to trolls like alexmcphersen!

I haven't posted here in forever, but after reading this thread, I was waiting for Dave to jump in with both feet.
When I checked, he hasn't posted in almost a year. Is Dave ok or has he changed screen names too?
Regarding this OP: IMHO, it's a hit and run troll. Makes an outrageous post waiting to see the s#!t storm he stirred up, never to post again.

Thats a good point. I dont usually expect trolls on this board like I would on others, but you're certainly right that they do come, especially hit and run style.

I wouldn't mind a troll now and then, if only they weren't all so boring and dull, like this one.
Dave hasn't been here in a year? Dave, if you read this please let us know you're okay.

Wonder if he has the hipster-clone facial hair, the modern equivalent of wearing love beads and a headband in the Sixties or a dress-for-success suit in the 1980s.

I think you're referring to a recent phenomenon, called a "cuck" for which there is no historical precedent.

Me either. I'm dazed and confused. I better not say anything else in case one them stumbles onto this forum by accident and gets his wittle feelings hurt at the social injustice.

Dude, totally agree, I love Kurt Russell but he can't play Earp. And Sam Elliot was like in his 60s playing Virgil. And all those bad guys having very witty and snappy lines was just too much for me.

Agree - every actor in it was a scene-stealing upstager who appeared to be acting for himself only, and relating to the others as if they were his "props". It was a movie of individuals, instead of being a cohesive whole.with everyone seeming as though they thought the whole thing revolved around them individually. And don't even get me started on how totally miscast Dana Delaney was.

You're certainly entitled to that opinion. What I saw was a collection of strong and colorful characters, all of whom stand out and are still very memorable because of their individuality. Unlike with the forgettable, faceless mob of interchangeable "bad guys" in "Wyatt Earp", we got to know all the main TS characters very well, something that's important in keeping audiences interested in them and their fates.
Agree about Dana Delaney. I think a different actress may have better embodied Josie.
