Worst western ever?

every actor in it was a scene-stealing upstager who appeared to be acting for himself only, and relating to the others as if they were his "props".
You're certainly entitled to that opinion. What I saw was a collection of strong and colorful characters, all of whom stand out and are still very memorable because of their individuality. Unlike with the forgettable, faceless mob of interchangeable "bad guys" in "Wyatt Earp", we got to know all the main TS characters very well, something that's important in keeping audiences interested in them and their fates.
Agree about Dana Delaney. I think a different actress may have better embodied Josie. -

Best Western ever made and Kurt Russell is quite good in it. Val Kilmer gives a legendary performance and the mostly true story is extremely compelling. The Good the Bad and the Ugly is a fine movie, but not as good as Tombstone.

It's just kind of a nostalgia thing, at least for me. I recognize it's not a good movie, technically speaking. But I love watching it perhaps just because I've seen it so many times, and Doc Holiday's antics. Love watching him be cocky as fck while being able to back it up with a quick draw.
And the mustaches. Everyone's got a solid stache. -

Just watched it for the first time, I like westerns but it's far from my favorite genre. Got to say though I loved this movie, amazing cast. And easily the best performance I've seen from Val Kilmer. Deserves its high rating on here.

Could you give some examples in the movie where Russell was "embarrassing"?
I'd like to know that as well. I have a feeling we shouldn't hold our breath waiting. IMO, Kurt has never given a bad performance, even in bad movies. -

Agreed! Perhaps if we slowly sneak out of this thread and close the door, the trolls will all stay together in here.
Liberals claim to love "others ideas", until they find out people actually have other ideas.
