Yeah I know. That part totally freaked me out too. They should make a sequel just about that guy's life after being a statue. It could be like Born on The 4th of July but about a guy who was turned into a crappy statue by a Warlock. I totally hate the Warlock though, he is a dick. The witch hunter in part one is awesome.

I watched this movie at age 12 also. One of my favorite low-budget horror movies. Much better than the one before it.
I think the art dealer may be immortal as that statue if he doesn't have to eat or drink water. The Warlock told the carnie he trapped in the mirror that "this is your eternity" so I guess he's stuck living in that hellish carnival for ever. That's what the devil and his son are good at, making people suffer for eternity.
The Warlock indicates that he modeled the statue after the work of Picasso. Picasso's art was also nightmarish in the same way. The creepiest part of that scene is when the Warlock looks up close at his handiwork. Not only is the statue grotesque to look at but it's alive and obviously in great pain and probably will be for as long as it exists.
